My Favorite Run

This weekend I left my hubby at home and headed down to DC to visit my parents.  We had a ton of fun, catching up with my cousin and friends at Molly Malone’s in Capital Hill: And then enjoyed dinner at Cava, a fabulous Greek Tapas restaurant in Capitol Hill.  My mom and I did some shopping, and my parents and I had steak for dinner on Saturday. Fabulous. And all three nights I went to sleep watching House Hunters International.  My kind of weekend!

One of my favorite parts – pretty much one of my most favorite things to do in VA/DC, period – is to go for a long run along the G.W. Parkway’s bike/running trail.  It runs along the Potomac in Virginia.  I normally begin at Reagan airport, and run for 3 to for 4 miles, then turn around. Sometimes I’ll cross the Memorial bridge into DC and run along the Mall, past the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, making my way to the Capitol, but this time I stayed in Virginia.

It offers amazing views of DC – particularly on a a clear, beautiful day like Sunday.  Here’s a few I snapped with my iPhone:And surprise! I finally learned how to play with the edit settings in Picasa!
