Our Honeymoon in Argentina!

Last month, I blogged about the first part of our honeymoon.  We went to Belize (which was freaking amazing).  I’ve finally uploaded pictures from the second half.  We went to Argentina!  Buenos Aires is so ridiculously beautiful.  It seriously looks just like Paris. The architecture is amazing, the people are beautiful and stylish, the city is as clean as can be, and the food was outstanding.  If you don’t know, Argentina is known for steak. So… we ate steak and drank wine for just about every meal for a week. I was in heaven.

Here’s a few photos from Buenos Aires.  We also went to Mendoza, which is the heart of wine county.  I’ll have a few photos from there next week. If you have any questions, email us! I’d be happy to to talk your ear off about it.

Here I am, standing outside of the pink palace, the famous balconies that Eva Peron spoke to the masses from. I’m in jeans, because the weather was crappy that day.  It was the only bad weather day we had, though, which was nice.

Here is a few shots of the famous La Recoleta Cemetery.  It’s so beautiful, but also totally creepy. The caskets sit inside these crypts, but many have glass doors or windows, so you can see in and see the caskets.  In some, there are many, going down into the ground, and in others, there is just one or two, set up on an altar right inside. The detail on the crypts is just amazing. We spent hours wandering around.

Wedding / Honeymoon Updates (Mostly Honeymoon, Though)

My co-workers have begun to wonder if there is a wedding, or just a honeymoon. Rightfully so.  I’ve admittedly been much more focused on planning the latter over the last few months, especially after all the “big” pieces for the wedding were finalized. We’ve settled on a Belize/Argentina combination, and booked the first part of our trip! We’ll be staying at the Victoria House in Belize:

The mosquito nets are creeping me out a little about what kinds of bugs we’ll see, but I think I’ll get over it!

Perhaps I’ll snorkle and see this guy:
Definitely more to come as we continue to book and get things squared away, but getting excited! As we all know, the best part of working hard on planning something (like a wedding!) is the vacation you get to take when it’s all done!
