OK, so maybe its not leftover from your kids trick-or-treating. Maybe, like us, you just purchased the large bag of Halloween candy at BJs for yourselves, under the guise of “oh, just in case….” No judgement here. But there are realistically only so many pieces of candy or chocolate one girl can eat. And our bag was definitely bigger than I was going to devour. So when I had a craving for chocolate chip cookies, I thought, why not use candy, instead of chocolate chips? That’s what I did tonight! And the verdict? DEEEEElicious.
I was totally slacking on the photos, but here are a few along with the recipe. I used a mixture of Hershey’s, Reese’s and Kit Kats.
I used a basic chocolate chip that I doctored up a bit:
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons good quality vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon or so of sea salt (optional!)
- Halloween candy – however much you would like!
Beat butter, eggs, sugars vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Add in your Halloween candy, and bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes.
